The Purpose of GLBTA is threefold:
-To provide support for all gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgender individuals within the University and surrounding communities.
-To provide educational information on historical and current issues regarding gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals.
-To create opportunities for welcoming, safe, and supportive social gatherings that strive to minimize the fear of harassment or exposure.
To this end, GLBTA will provide programs, activities, and services to the community at large to fulfill this purpose.
